The plan

I've just received the company doctor's proposal for my reintegration at work: the plan is for me to start working 15 hours a week from week 52, 24 hours from week 2, 36 hours from week 5 and go back to full-time employment from week 7. And just to make sure that Jobsworth understands that this is only a tentative guideline, she's printed the words SUBJECT TO CHANGE AND RENEWED INSIGHT in big bold lettering across it.

Shoes! You've got a shoe icon! And they're just the kind I like...

Have I mentioned already how much I hate having had to wear trainers every day for 8 interminable weeks? I want heels, I want boots, I want satin and suede! I've got my heart set on a new pair of Mary Janes and 4 inch purple pumps, and I've also spotted a bee-ootiful pair of burnt siena boots in Fred de la Bretonnière, but reason dictates that I can't buy yet because I don't know if my ankle is ever going to get back to normal proportions. Right now it's twice the size of the healthy one, and it's been like that for 2 weeks already. I'm despairing of ever looking good in heels again...

Good for her! You just make sure you take everything you're entitled too, and then soem, until you are PROPERLY over this, and the stress.

Now you have your own 'puter, you have no need to work ;)

Too right!

I shouldn't be saying this, but to be honest, ever since I've got this 'puter working (after a fashion), it takes a great deal more of psyching myself up for work than it did before. So I should be looking at job sites now rather than LJ, shouldn't I?

You should, love, you should.

But not at the expense of your time with online buddies. Do it in work time!

Do it in work time!

Ah! Now that sounds like a plan to me!
