Things can only get worse from here on in.

I bought these buckled boots a month ago.

I still can't get my left foot in.

Another day in Allstars it is, then.

Is it still swollen then?

Yes. And according to Remco, it is likely to stay mishapen like that for another 3 to 4 months...:(

Thanks, hon. I'll tell my foot you said so!

*sigh* Another 3 to 4 months...unfortunately that sounds about right. At least you have a time frame in mind to know what you are dealing with, and you have the lovely new boots to look forward to. (I know that doesn't help anything now.) Perhaps you could find some nicer looking hiking type boots and not have to deal with the trainers. I have some brown leather ones with soft rubber soles that work well with jeans for casual days and are just as comfortable as trainers.

Oh, I've got those too...problem is, they're real hiking boots (and in any other winter, my favourite choice!), which means that at the moment they're far too heavy for me.

But it's not all bad: I've got my burgundy Allstars, my grey Nikes, my camouflage Pumas and my fuchsia and silver Diesels to choose from for now...and yesterday, I saw and tried on a pair of exquisitely soft fur-lined suede mocassin-type boots...that unfortunately weren't in the sale. But I haven't been able to stop thinking of them since -- I'm sure I'll cave in and get them eventually, even if Pocahontas boots aren't the height of fashion anymore. They felt awfully comfy on the right foot; I'm sure they'll feel good on the other, too. ;-)
