Lookit the pretty icon poisoninjest made me!

A few weeks ago, I saw Sleepy Hollow for the very first time. I loved the film, but it was this image most especially that stayed with me in the days following; and when poisoninjest offered to make icons as a Xmas present, this is what I asked for.

::pets pretty icon:: Oooh, I'm so pleased with it!

I adore Sleepy Hollow. We watch it every Halloween

Oh, I could watch it again and again...just like Bram Stoker's Dracula, which I also discovered long after everyone else had seen it.

You see, I have a terrible problem with horror movies -- they scare the lights out of me. So whenever a film is billed as remotely horror-y, I don't see it. It usually takes several friends to assure me it isn't scary, and a liberal measure of Dutch courage before I do. And then, depending on the film, I'll watch it again and again and again.

You made this? I mean, just now, in the last 5 minutes or so? Gosh -- aren't you clever! I'm impressed!

Funny, eurothrashed's made a background with that very same image the other day...I guess Sleepy Hollow's ona lot of people's minds these days!

Well, I hadn't really thought about it until you mentioned it and horror movies. I have a few Sleepy Hollow screencaps on my PC that I made ages ago and I just suddenly felt inspired to make an icon. It wasn't that hard, I just had to crop the image and add the text. Only took a couple of minutes

New Year's resolution # 1: learn to make iconses. It'll be such fun, I'm sure -- I'll never get out from behind my PC, though...

Sleepy Hollow is my favourist (and it was made 500 yards from where we were living at the time at leavesden studios. You could see some of the sets. From certain places, you can still see the windmill).

What? It wasn't shot in upstate New York? I thought the skies were too leaden!

It's Leavesden and I think somewhere in Buckinghamshire for the village.

Didn't get to see Johnny though. :(

There's lots of Harry Potter sets there at the moment.

This is a big filming area actually. Watford turns up on TV all the time. We have leavesden, Elstree (I applied for a job there once) and pinewood all close. Tom Cruise used to live in Radlett when he was making Eyes Wide Shut and that was about 5-10 miles away, oh and they did a Bond film there awhile back.

Radlett? Really? I always pass that on the train (when I stay in Edgware, I usually fly into Luton)...and Elstree&Borehamwood too, of course.

Radlett is one of the most exclsive postcodes in Britain apparently.

You wouldn't know it from the glimpse you catch of it from the train...

That's a wonderful icon.

And yes, Sleepy Hollow has been on the brains of people recently. There's been a fair amount produced for it in the past couple of months.

Given that it's still a small fandom, I was able to collect almost everything in it here and here. Do you know if there's anything I can put in that I haven't gotten to yet?

That's quite a comprehensive compendium you have there! Very impressive; and I've just added it to my memories for future reference.

I haven't actually been looking for Sleepy Hollow-stuff (yet), but if I should come across a site that I think may be of interest to you, I'll let you know.

Thank you for the compliment and the help - while I have not received the latter yet, I'm sure it will come in handy.

I made those posts because I thought it would help the fandom is people could actually see how much stuff is in them and who made what. I can't tell if it's helped or not yet, but I can certiantly hope.
