In other words, how much longer before I can wear these boots again?

Woah! Now that is a pair of boots!

Yup, and they're made for walking, too. Not hobbling, your face all scrunched up in a painful grimace...

Wow, these are amazing! I really hope the ankle will permit you to wear them soon. :-)

Just by looking at this picture I'm pretty sure that I'd never be able to wear them. But, wow. :-)

But, wow. :-)

Even though I've had them since October 2003, they still have that effect on me, too. ;-)

Four year old Lauren was standing by me as I scrolled to this picture and she immediately said, 'Oh, look the pretty boots!'

Which they certainly are!

Aha! Four year old Lauren is a budding fashionista -- that's fantastic!

I was proud as a peacock when I saw my then 2 year old niece testing the material on a frock like she'd seen me do countless times while out shopping...now she's nearly 12 and determined to be a fashion designer.

damn, those are some snazzy boots! are they comfortable at all?
gamiila
Jan. 29th, 2005 04:13 pm (UTC)
Of course! Well...they are a tad big for me -- but I had to have them, and I can manage very well in them if I stuff the nose full of cotton wool and wear a pair of socks.

Unfortunately now, though, having injured my ankle last October, I can't get around on heels at all.

Oh my god, those are awesome!
The kind of boots that make you want to go out just so you can show them off.

Well, you would know: you tried them on once, remember?

Cute icon! ;-)

Those are very 60s, Op Art, Emma Peel-esque boots. You could kick some Bond nemesis butt (or be a Bond girl!) in those boots. I'm envious.

Yes, they do have that psychedelic feel, don't they? No wonder they were such a big hit in the artsy circles I mixed in in London last year! ;-)

::rolls eyes::

Have you worn the fluffies yet?
gamiila

Yes, I've worn the fluffies...worn them today, in fact. They're lovely; but for some reason several people kept making sheep noises around me...vulgarians!

Love the boots...boots have always been my weakness.

My daughter cleaned her room over the weekend and put all of her shoes in her closet...she has more than I do, so now I must go shoe shopping to remedy this situation.

boots have always been my weakness.

Mine, too! Of course, I'm interested in footwear of any kind, but boots have always been my passion. I can remember the very first row I ever had with my mother, at age 6, was on the suject of boots. She'd bought me the wrong pair!

Enjoy your shopping trip! You're right, it doesn't do for a mother to have fewer shoes than their children.
