Time for a change

It's wonderful to see desdemonaspace so giddy with delight, but meanwhile...

I'm bored with this layout of mine. I want something a bit more snazzy, simple and elegant. A tall order when you're as creatively challenged as I am. I wish I could make beautiful banners and backgrounds, but I haven't a clue how to get started.::facepalms::

So I thought I'd begin by installing another moodtheme. Problem is, I can't for the life of me remember how to do this. I got as far as uploading one to Photobucket -- and then I got stuck. How did I do this before? The FAQ isn't much help -- can anyone tell me in plain English how to proceed? Much obliged if you can!

Also, if anyone's interested in acquiring a gmail account for themselves: step right up! I've got tons of invitations going spare.

Okay, the offer is open.

Actually, do you remember that calendar you once dangled in front of me? Just a thought...
Feb. 8th, 2005 10:54 pm (UTC)
That calendar was half done! I just couldn't get the software to reload after the PC blew up last year. I've never found a bit of software good enough to replace it.

That calendar was half done!

I know it was! Sorry darling, didn't mean to imply that you're the kind of person that reneges on her promises -- on the contrary, I was just wondering whether any of it might be salvaged and reused in a new design.

Not really. The calendar part was in and a red background. I was then going to make a patch of naked Spike pictures, but I only got one on it. I could still do that, maybe not with naked Spike, but something else.

I have a plain version of the shoes still if you just wanted to keep those and adjust the colours of the journal.

Just shoes? No, no, I don't think I'm ready for Spike not to be in there somewhere, in his lovely black duster...or maybe in the outfit he wore in The Bronze in Crush...or, nekkid...?

Ok then Naked it is. I think I'll enjoy that...

Ok then Naked it is.

Sssshhh! Don't let them hear!

::looks about oneself shiftily::

Here, it will all be done in the best possible taste, won't it?
Feb. 9th, 2005 05:58 pm (UTC)
How could it not be? :)
Feb. 9th, 2005 06:16 pm (UTC)
:-) That's alright then!

What do you think of this style then? Me, I like the colours, but I hate that I can't widen the sidebar any...
Feb. 9th, 2005 06:43 pm (UTC)
The style is fine, but I hope these are just the default colours.
Feb. 9th, 2005 07:06 pm (UTC)
Yes, these are the default colours. I haven't worked out how to customise them yet. But I do want to keep it light and airy; I don't like it black.
Feb. 9th, 2005 07:08 pm (UTC)
Nothing wrong with light and airy, but grey is bleugh.
Feb. 9th, 2005 07:49 pm (UTC)
grey is bleugh.

Hmmm...I'm thinking light yellows and oranges, maybe...or green! ;-)
Feb. 9th, 2005 07:52 pm (UTC)
The background to the pic I'm making is red. You might want to bear that in mind.
Feb. 9th, 2005 07:54 pm (UTC)
Fire engine red?

Yellows and oranges go very well with red, I've always thought...it's why they're my favourite colours.
Feb. 9th, 2005 07:55 pm (UTC)
Goes well with flesh too...
Feb. 9th, 2005 08:48 pm (UTC)
God! Now it's more colourful than I ever envisioned it...but why can't I get rid of the khaki? I can change the colour of the thext there, but I can't change the background; it's driving me mad!

Think I'll leave it like this for a couple of days, see if this riot of colours is really me...
Feb. 9th, 2005 08:52 pm (UTC)
You must be ab;e to, because this is the same style as mine and I managed it. I can't remember how though.
Feb. 9th, 2005 08:57 pm (UTC)
This is the same style as yours? No wonder it felt familiar! ;-D
Feb. 9th, 2005 08:58 pm (UTC)
I'd go with 'cosy'.
