Bad hair day

My passport needed renewing.
Now, and for the next five years, as far as customs and local officials are concerned, I'll be the spitting image an Old English Sheepdog. I'd post it here, but I'm too bloody embarrassed.

Hee ... they really need to hire the folks who run the Glamour Shots stores to take passport photos. I'd pay extra for that. And I bet you look cute in your pic anyway ;-)

Re: Passport pic
Trust me. I don't.

Worst thing is, they made me paste a fake smile on my face. I look like a clown on acid.

It doesn't matter anyway, how good a picture is when you submit it. I'm sure passport offices all over the world employ staff just to 'doctor' pictures to make the people look much worse than they really are. Douglas got a new passport recently. His photo looks like that of a convict! - Carol.

Carol!
Hi! How good it is to hear from you! It's been - what? - I'm ashamed to even think and do the math. Running off and abandoning my Yahoo!-buddies like that, as soon as I managed to get my grubby mitts on an lj-invite code...that was totally uncool.

But I've made a vow to better my ways and sneak back into Yahoo! once or twice a week, keep up with what's going on in all your lives. Missed you girls...

I don't actually have a passport, but my last driving learning permit had a horrible picture. Somehow, they managed to make me look greasy. It looked like a mug shot from jail. Hardly attractive at all.

I think there should be a law against such atrocities ...

Re:
Just had a look at my driver's license photo...and thank God, it's not too bad (at least I'm not smiling in it - which is not to say that my smile, when it's real, is anything but radiant; but you know what I mean -don't you?-), so I can hold my head up high for another 5 years before that expires, too. And the way I park, it actually stands a bigger chance to come to officialdom's notice than my passport picture does.

I'm sure it's better than my old one. It got passed round several border posts for the soldiers to have a good laugh at.
