She made me do it!

I was hoping it wouldn't come to this, but I got tagged, and so I must answer the questions...

1. Total number of films I own on DVD/video:

This is embarrassing. Not a lot. Despite having had a VCR since 1997, my guesstimate is I only have between 50-75 films in total -- and most of them are languishing in the storage box downstairs. Most of them, I don't even know what they are.

The total number of DVDs I own: 12, 8 of which are films.

2. The last film I bought:

King Arthur -- watched it once, didn't like it, waste of money.

3. The last film I watched:

At home: Star Wars - Attack of the Clones -- didn't like it. Hayden Christensen cannot act, Anakin Skywalker is a whiney brat, and why Padme would fall for him is a complete mystery. Their romance lacks chemistry and suffers from awful dialogue. Also, Ewan McGregor never gets a chance to show what a good actor he really is. Love the costumes, though.
At the flicks: Wimbledon, I think, last summer. What can I say? I don't go out much.
A quiet day at the office: Cold Mountain - ::sniffle:: BEAUTIFUL.

4. Five films that I watch a lot:

I don’t tend to watch again and again. But every few years I get an itch to see The Sound of Music again, and I have seen Cat On A Hot Tin Roof more times than I care to count...what else? Oh yes, Bram Stoker's Dracula, because it's the first horror film I've ever watched that hasn't given me nightmares -- and because Gary Oldman is teh pretty.

::thinks very hard to come up with a fourth movie::

I know! I've seen Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 3 times since it came out, and every time because I wanted to -- that makes it a film I watch a lot!

::really racks brain to think of a fifth, but fails miserably::

I haven't got the LotR-box set yet, but I expect that when I do, I will watch it more than once...

5. Tag 5 people and have them put this in their journal:

I don't know, who hasn't done this yet? desdemonaspace, have you? Whoever reads this, hasn't done it yet, and thinks it might be fun (boy, are you in for a disappointment!): go for it -- meanwhile, I'll just sit over here and rust.

Hee! Blame speakr. I hate these things. This one just set me off thinking I never go out for fun anymore if it doesn't involve the kids and I never have enough time to just sit down and watch a film at home and my life is a bloody mess of running to stand still some days and I need to stop with the working on a Sunday and ARGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

So, I like to share with my friends :)

At least your recently watched film list is more up to date than mine.

At least you have Spike.

He was playing with Ilona last night... Bad boy.

Re: He was playing with Ilona last night.

Anything you'd like to share with us?

Could be...

It started out as a PWP, but the 'without' tended to the 'with' so it grew. But, if you happen to know anyone who might be up for a little Spilona beta later, do let me know.

ME! I'm writing my big climax to my story and desperately need to shift gears, so THANKS!
May. 15th, 2005 11:00 am (UTC)
I don't want to interfere with your climax! Ermm.. if you see what I mean...

This one's not there yet, but if you're up for it I'll send it over when it gets a bit closer (need someone to tell me if it's bollocks before I put much more into it).

Good luck with the big finish, sweetie!

That's what he's doing. He wants me to get on with it and I need to work.

Oh! Am I being slow? Pouts because it's not ready or because you're up for a beta?
May. 15th, 2005 11:20 am (UTC)
Pouts because it's not ready or because you're up for a beta?

That last one -- but it's okay, desdemonaspace's got it covered, and will do a good job. Next time though, don't tout for business on my LJ. ;-)

If you're that bothered I have a chapter ten for you to look at.
May. 15th, 2005 02:52 pm (UTC)
Fine! Send it over!
May. 15th, 2005 02:53 pm (UTC)
What email address are you using?
May. 15th, 2005 03:00 pm (UTC)
Right now? My home addy -- but you can send it to gmail if you can't remember what my addy is at the moment; won't take me two seconds to log in.
May. 15th, 2005 03:02 pm (UTC)
It's okay, i just never know which one to send it to now.
May. 15th, 2005 11:19 am (UTC)
Gah. I'll be glad to look at something other than my own. Thanks.

Hee. Purely by chance, I can assure you. I like films, I really do; and every year there are a number of films I really really would like to see -- and then I get caught up in the dailies and miss them. Really, if it wasn't for my friends dragging me to the cinema on occasion, I'd never see anything.

Star Wars - totally. Such a disappointment (and way too long).

I nearly put Crouching Tiger.

I also only seem to do kids things now - and I haven't got any. I'm off to the farm in a minute.

Star Wars - totally. Such a disappointment (and way too long).

Apart for the definite improvement in costumes and sets, I really have no idea why George Lucas felt the need to inflict three more Star Wars movies on us when the first three were finished. Who cares about any of this rubbish anyway? We all know we only watch it for Han Solo...

Absolutely. No Han? What's the point?

Hiya. Not really. We own thousands but they're 99.9% Frank's and most of them suck. But if you look at pfeifferpack's LJ, her answers are pretty much what mine would have been.
May. 15th, 2005 11:04 am (UTC)
I understand completely.
May. 15th, 2005 11:17 am (UTC)
Hee! Your icon cracks me up.
May. 15th, 2005 11:23 am (UTC)
Thanks -- it was my first successful attempt at making one (even though I had to run to hils to help me out), and I'm quite fond of it
May. 17th, 2005 05:05 pm (UTC)
thinks...thinks...thinks...I don't remember the last time I went to see a movie at the theater. Possibly the last LOTR. (But I do have the boxed set at home.) And I think the last thing I watched at home was "The Opposite of Sex" which is several years old but I'd never seen before.
