I've been fiddling with different layouts again. I know I've only had this one since last December, but...I have the feeling it's not me anymore. It's JM, you see -- I've had enough of him, especially after having seen him at the Carling last month; and even in the guise of Spike, I feel like I want to take a break from him...no, need to take a break from him.

So I thought I'd try something else, maybe incorporate one or more of my CoRo pics, but I found out pretty quickly that you don't get very far if all you have to work with is Paint; and so I'll stick with these winter colours a while longer, until I bogwitch can come up with a plan new background design. ;-)

Meanwhile, for those of you who haven't seen the albums yet -- I've worked out a way to share them, and thus I bring you:

Corn Mo

I never did say thank I thought Corn Mo was a funny little man.

I'll have a think about a background - unless someone else wants a turn.

I was kinda hoping you would say that -- Would you? That'd be ace!

I thought Corn Mo was a funny little man

You're right: he is -- and you haven't even heard him yet!

He looks like he'd make a good Doctor Who.
May. 15th, 2005 03:03 pm (UTC)
Hahaa! I don't think he's aware of the existence of The Doctor, but he does have the same dress sense as most of his regenerations, it's true. ;-D

I think you should replace your JM pictures with an assortment of you favourite shoes. Didn't have time to comment yesterday on the ones you are thinking of buying(bought yet?) as our in-house network was being a bit awkward - but when I think of you, apart from CoRo I always think of shoes- and it would be very beautiful!

Ah! That's right, I wasn't on your flist then; but this was my first custom background:

by the inimitable bogwitch of course!

Smart - of course you could just get rid of the blonde guy and add the green shoes! I am grieving my youth - I gave a pair of rather smart black 4" wedges with brass eyelet decoration to my daughter because they were a 'bit young for me' as she kept pointing out to me! They looked very smart on her yesterday when we went to a family party, and had the benfit of being unlike anything anyone else had, as I've had them for some time! I wore sensible shoes with 2" heels. I am an old lady!

There is a version of that w/o Spike on my HD, but I think a Co Ro theme is appropriate this time. I have some ideas, just need some spare time!

Me, too...it seems I'm totally in their thrall at the moment. I'm sure I can always go back to the shoes theme some other time, though.

I have some ideas, just need some spare time!

I understand. In your own time, then! ;-)

I've thought about it! But it's not where I'm at right now, even though I love my shoes (a curse on Whitsun: every shop closed for 2 days, which means I'll have to wait a whole 5 days before I can get back to the boutique and get them!).

Oh! That must hurt -- I stand in dread of the day my niece will start to eye up my collection. She knows I can deny her nothing...

I just got a link to this site via one I sometimes shop on:
Viva La Diva
and I thought of you! Although I guess you may well have found it before!

Bookmarked for future reference and drooling -- thanks!

Take a break from Spike.

Take a break from Spike.

Take a break from Spike.

Take a break from... nope, does not compute.

Good luck! You're a stronger woman than I am... :)

I must admit, I never thought the day would come; but now that it has, I can't say I'm regretful...nor surprised, even.

I'd still like to read about him, though; so I hope he'll continue to distract you from what you should be doing.
May. 15th, 2005 09:06 pm (UTC)
I'm sure the time will come for us all. Sad as I find the thought, it's there.

Meantime, he's here, and still playing the tart with the Italian bird with the big boobies, so I'll just make the best of it while I can ;)
May. 15th, 2005 09:11 pm (UTC)
Thankfully, the Italian bird with the big boobies is more than capable of handling him and his tartiness, so I can look forward to reading a lot of witty banter coupled with a deep connection and genuine affection soon...or as soon as your work permits, of course.
May. 15th, 2005 09:17 pm (UTC)
Hmm. They are short on the witty banter and long on the... erm... deep connecting right now. This has turned out to be a good deal more serious than I intended.

But - it's a one off, and not really part of the series, so maybe I'll let them. There will be more banter in the sequel (if it ever gets written).
May. 15th, 2005 09:21 pm (UTC)
That's right, I forgot: it was a Pw/P, wasn't it? Looking forward to the...ahum...deep connection, then! So yes please, do let them!
May. 17th, 2005 04:55 pm (UTC)
Well, I have to say *I* will miss your Spike background, but you have to do what works for you.
May. 17th, 2005 07:02 pm (UTC)
I'll keep it around on my hard drive, so when that day comes when my new background starts to bore me, I can switch back to this or the drowning in footwear one...don't worry, I'lll doubt you'll have seen the last of this! ;-)

That must have been so hard, on both of you! Now she can settle in and you can relax.

I feel your pain - it took me weeks to clean Frank's room.

It must be a relief to have seen her sitting and chatting.

I wish you well with the house clearing. I'm not sure if this is helpful - but it took my sister and I at least one full day a week for a…

Oh my goodness! I can just feel that horrible sinking in the pit of the stomach when you realised and there was nothing you could do about it.
  • 8 Jul 2020, 01:03
I'm glad the move went so well. It sounds like it might be a great place for her.
  • 7 Jul 2020, 01:17
I'm glad things turned out okay! (Other than the rhubarb.)
