Oh noes!

As if realising that I've got yet another birthday bash I can't get out of coming up this Saturday, making me miss the final episode of Doctor Who as it airs, a quick peek at the TV listings resulted in the shocking news that they'll be

'(..) introducing David Tennant as the tenth Doctor...'

Oh crap...

And I had so been looking forward to seeing Chris one last time in the Christmas Special, too.

Oh well. After suffering this psychological blow, I was in need of some serious retail therapy. I've ordered the DVDs of every single film he's been in and that Amazon stock, and will spend the summer happily watching them and be amazed that an actor of his range and brilliance has flown under my radar for so long.

And then you can tell us all about the wonderful movies so that we, too, can go buy and watch them.

Oh well, if it's wonderful movies with Christopher Eccleston that you want, I can already recommend a few that I've seen before:

Shallow Grave -- added bonus: Ewan McGregor
A Price Above Rubies -- with Renée Zellweger
The Others -- with Nicole Kidman
Jude -- with Kate Winslet

but in the batch I've just ordered, I think I'm most looking forward to Revengers Tragedy, with Eddie Izzard (& Derek Jacobi).

Did you see him on Top Gear at the weekend?

He was sporting a beard. I can so see him as the bad guy with a beard.

But honestly? He was dull. Yet another favourtite character who's alter ego was a wee bit of a disppointment. Heh. Maybe he was having a bad day.

Yes, I did catch him on Top Gear! You thought he was dull? When his eyes lit up and he went all unbelieving "I beat Vinnie?!"

He was sporting a beard.

I know. I think I'm starting to see a pattern emerge here...;-)

No, I'll be alright, *sob*

Honestly, takes me back to when Spie died... :(

That was meant to say "Spike". I'm over-emotional, not bad a spelling. ;)

I'm over-emotional

Not at all! We'll all be schlepping the Kleenex everywhere this weekend...and even though I like DT and am willing to give him a chance, I know I'll be dreaming of Nine all through the summer.

I'm none too happy at the moment because of one of RTD's off-hand remarks, saying that David's Doctor will be "quicker, funnier and more talky" than Chris's. That's all we need, another manic Doctor (remember Colin Baker?)!

Oh please! I'm upset enough as it is! (And I can't spell for toffee even if I'm not deeply distressed.) Colin Baker was dreadful. Not as bad as Silvester McCoy, but oh dear. :'(

Also I'm getting all these girly feelings for Capt Jack and I don't fancy his chances... Oh if only I'd got shares in Klennex!

LOL! Colin Baker was insane, is what he was! By far my least favourite of the bunch. Sylvester McCoy, on the other hand, was mostly just plain silly...and quite annoyingly so, so I gave up on his adventures after the first series (even though I liked Ace; she was sassy, and the first assistant I took an interest in). And Paul McGann, I thought he showed promise....but then they never followed up on the movie!

Also I'm getting all these girly feelings for Capt Jack and I don't fancy his chances...

Oh noes, again! I hadn't thought of that....but it would be so like him, wouldn't it, to go out in a blaze of glory? But it doesn't bear thinking about -- I can't lose Nine and Capt. Jack in one fell swoop!

Which reminds me: I still have space for 1 more icon. I think I'll get myself another one of Jack.

He's supposed to have killed off "Dr Who" although I can't see why the poor guy should take all the blame.

That's it! It's just all too much. *sob* I've been trying not to get too attached... Don't see him interacting as well with David Tennant. A bit too fey for the chemistry to work(?)

All in all I think I'm going to need a stiff brandy on Saturday! :(

SNOGGAGE!

THREE WAY SNOGGAGE!

WE GET SNOGGAGE!

Well, according to one of your newspapers, anyway!

And Jack and Rose both stay on for the whole of next series!

Yay! :D

Thank you, you've cheered me up no end! :)

I feel like all my Christmases have come at once!

Well, it certainly had that effect on me! Instant mood booster as soon as I read that particular spoiler; I felt so elated I had to tell someone (and I thought you might appreciate the good news)!
