They've invited me to take part in the selection process -- starting with a psychological test some time in the next few weeks. If I can get through that, I'll get an interview, a writing assignment, another psychological test, a medical, and finally the all-important terms of employment and benefits negotiation round. Then, provided the security check into my background doesn't find anything controversial in my past, I could have another job by the middle of October!

I can't believe I made it past the first hurdle -- let's hope I can make it past the others, too. I'm so buoyed by this news, I've been celebrating my good fortune by going into town and acquiring two new pairs of shoes, this Feeder-cd, and a big white glass clock with orange and purple flowers on its face. Yay!

haahaa TWO new pairs??

Of course! One pair of blue tweed pumps, and a pair of chestnut-coloured summer shoes, very intricately worked. They've got sort of a Mediterranean, Basque look to them...or something. Quite unusual.

Good for you! And good luck with the rest of the selection process!

Thank you!

Congratulations! I have no idea what super-spy means, but if you like it, it's all good.
And shoes are never wrong. I couldn't/can't make it tomorrow, as you must have guessed. When the next opening in your schedule?
Jun. 18th, 2005 11:03 pm (UTC)
I don't know, I'll have to check...2 weeks from now, perhaps? I'd love to sit out in your garden before the summer decides to bugger off again, as it's bound to do sometime soon. Perhaps show off some of my new shoes to you...

Thank you -- being new to my flist, you can have no idea how much my current job and I don't agree with one another, and how long I've been waiting for a break like this. Fingers crossed I get the job (it's with Her Majesty's Secret Service, hence the super-spy reference).

I can so see me as a super-spy, too -- I'm sure that must mean something. ;-)

YAY! That is wonderful new! I'm so excited for you. I realize there are a lot more steps involved, but you are on your way! And you sooooo need this.

And new shoes! There is no better way to celebrate. (Since there were no CORO concerts nearby.)

And new shoes! There is no better way to celebrate.

Isn't there? Especially now that I've found out that -provided the heels aren't too high, say 2,5 inches at most-, I can actually stand to be in 'em for a couple of hours. ;-)
