Can anyone answer me this question: why can't I burn the Doctor Who-episodes (.avi and .wmv-files) I have, that play beautifully on my computer but are sort of cluttering up my hdd space, onto a CD? Why do both Nero and RealPlayer say the files are in an unsupported format? How should one go about burning video files onto a CD, if it's not a straightforward case of Open program and click 'Burn'? Because I just can't work out what I'm doing wrong here!

Do you have an old version of Nero? Because I know the old version didn't support Xvid (which is the format many of the Doctor Who AVIs are in), but the newer version does.

Ah! Well, that must be it, then. Thanks!

On the other hand, you should still be able to save the files as plain old files with Nero (as opposed to making CDs you can watch on your DVD player). Just choose the "data file" option instead of the "video" option...
