The answer's no

It would seem they do take a perverse pleasure in getting people's hopes up by leaving them messages asking to call back. Based on the assessment report, the selection committee was of the opinion that there were too many 'points of attention' and they've decided not to hire me.

I had all of these visions of you in cool suits and fabulous footwear, doing hush-hush gov't stuff.

Me, too! But I guess they just couldn't handle that glamour puss aspect of me ;-).

It is a pity. And I still maintain that I would have done a damn fine job -- I mean, I was interested, motivated, enthusiastic, willing to sell my soul...what more could they possibly want?
