These memes are seriously addictive!

Came across this little meme in luvsphoenix's journal:

1)What's on your bedside table?

Clock radio, can of deodorant, assorted jewelry, several bottles of perfume, a statuette of the Madonna and Child, hair dryer, a woodcarving and 3 donkey souvenirs (from France, England and Spain).

2) What's the geekiest part of your music collection?

'Indian Vibes', maybe? 8 versions of the same Indian sitar piece.

3)What do you eat when you raid the fridge at night?

I never raid the fridge at night.

4) What is your secret "guaranteed weeping" film?

'E.T.' And it's no secret.

5)If you could have plastic surgery, what would you have done?

Belly. Want it flat. Boobs. Want them small. But whatever I have done, I don't want it to hurt or leave permanent scarring.

6) Do you have a completely irrational fear? If so, of what?

No irrational. Lots of rational. Plus a fear of heights.

7) What is the little physical habit that gives away your insecure moments?

Excessive gesturing. I always use my hands when talking, but when I'm nervous, they basically take over.

8) Do you ever have to beg?

Never.

9) Do you have too many love interests?

Love interests?

10) Do you know anyone famous?

Bumped into a few famous people in my time but they wouldn't remember, so - no.

11) Describe your bed.

Queen, cotton sheets. Four feather pillows. In the cold season: eiderdown duvet encased in yellows and oranges and browns. Yellow-and-orange tartan spread on lower end. In summer: off-white summer blanket. Pillow cases in white and blue. In all seasons: two cats stretched out on top (one black, one tortoise).

12) Spontaneous or plan?

Planner by nature. Spontaneous by default.

13) Who should play you in a movie about your life?

Someone 10 times more interesting...and possibly a bit slimmer.

14) Do you know how to play poker?

Erm...what were the rules again?

15) Do you like to color?

I love to paint. Does that count?

16) How do you drive?

Confidently. Until it comes time to parallel park...

17) What do you miss most about being little?

Being able to play outside all day.

18) Are you happy with your given name?

Yes. It's so me.

19) What was the last song you were listening to?

'With or Without You', by U2. It played on the radio on the bus I took to get to the station on time (I'd overslept).

20) Have you ever been in a school play?

Yes. I was the witch in Hansel and Gretel. Hated every minute of being on stage.

22) Do you like yourself and believe in yourself?

Now? Yes. Then? No.

23) Have you ever done any illegal drugs?

Of course. 's All part of growing up, innit?

24) Do you think you're cute?

No. I don't get "cute". I get "wow!" a lot, though.

25) Do you consider yourself to be a nice person?

On the whole: yes. But moody and according to Quizilla's What Usage of the Word Fuck are You?, I'm

...Fuck Off.

Belly. Want it flat. Boobs. Want them small. But whatever I have done, I don't want it to hurt or leave permanent scarring.

I saw one of those medical shows once where they were doing a boob job. I was interested in getting mind lifted (well, I would have been if I had money).

Anyway I got to the part where they took off the nipples (for replacing later I guess) and freaked. No way was anyone going to cut my nips! Hell I need those puppies!!

Hee.

Now a tummy tuck? Oh, I'm all for that. Even when my abs were rock hard I had all that soft blah skin hanging there from 4 kids. Blah. Now? I just live with it. There sure as HELL worse belly's out there.

:D

We must have been watching the same show. I was seriously if rather wistfully toying with the idea of one day considering having something done about my bosoms, until that aired and I turned green at the gills. No way Jose am I ever gonna let a surgeon anywhere near them now.

There's far too many things can go wrong with the procedure, too. I saw another programme once, about women who had been butchered - urgh! No thanks.

Yeah. There's something to be said for aging gracefully.

Of course this is coming from a women who just got her belly button pierced, LOL.

Besides I got pretty boobies. Just have to look down a bit to see them.

You just had your belly button pierced? Oh wow - respect!

My sister had hers done a couple of years ago, ut I'm just too much of a coward. Besides, I don't think my belly (button) deserves the attention...

Yeah, last Friday. Do I have a flat, tanned belly? Fuck no. Do I have mounds of fat? No to that also. Just a poof belly from too much good food and 4 kids.

Still I liked the button. It was crying out for jewelery. I'm all "why the hell not?". I mean, at some point you just gotta do what you want and not give a rip what others might think or say.

I'm at that point.

You're telling me baby-belly never goes away? Oh, hell. I never thought I'd be wearing the excess flesh as a Sarong four years later.

And much respect for the stud. Um... didn't it hurt?

Hurt? You say that like it's a bad thing. ;)

Just for a second actually. No biggie. You know us moms "nothing could be worse than childbirth", LOL. Doesn't matter that it's true enough.

It was sharp like someone was sticking a needle in me ::g:: then I had a pretty little silver hoop and a neat throbing to remind me that I finally did something I WANTED.

As for baby belly. Well, if I could do it ALL over again I'd work like crazy to get the belly flat and skin tight while I could. Too late now I'm afraid but, still, all in all, it's not a big thing. The belly I mean.

Now my hips? gahhhhhhh

Now, did I say I didn't want it to hurt?

I keep hoping that if I'm real good and lay off the chocolate, everything will magically snap into place. Sadly, that place seems to be several degrees south of where I'd like it to be.

I think I passed that point where one still cares about what others may say about one's appearance some time ago (which basically followed very shortly on our Mum deciding to design and put together mine and my sister's clothes herself, rather than just get us some off-the-racks like all the other kids' mums did), but I'm still my own worst critic ;-).

LOL.

In high school I made my own clothing. Some of the strange things I came up with ....lol... funny NOW...looking back and all. But back then I really thought I looked hot.

Everyone is their own worst critic luv. That's the person you have to wrestle into submission. Sometimes the ID has to have it's way.
