TV, as I live and breathe

The mark of an enjoyable night on the couch watching telly is when the next day, you're still thinking of whatever it was you saw the night before. Like yesterday, when all day long I kept thinking back delightedly on Rufus Sewell and erm...Iforgethername..'s portrayal of Kate and Petrucchio in the modern day adaptation of The Taming of the Shrew as part of the Shakespeare Re-Told-project. After last week's disappointing MacBeth, this was far more to my liking. It had pace, it had drive, it had funny in abundance...and to see Rufus prancing about in drag was priceless.

Alternatively, what you see on television may make you sad -- and I'm not talking about news footage of starving children in Africa or the plight of the tiger in India, because that takes sadness to a whole different level; but of the sadness born of watching favourite characters break up -- like Luke and Lorelai did in Gilmore Girls last night. How could Luke give up on him and her just like that? They were meant to be 4evah! This was my only 'ship left after the wreck of Spuffy and the ultimate sacrifice of Nine/Rose. I feel a bit fragile today, and it's all Luke Danes's fault!

Anyway, here's a meme I gacked from crackers4jenn, that's sort of in keeping with this theme:
