Hiho, hiho

It's raining. Scratch that, it's pouring, and I have to go out in it soon. Woe is me.

And I'm increasingly aware of the fact that my bet isn't going to pay off. Jobsworth's managed to ward off the threat of Workforce Management (notice we're not calling it Workforce Reduction anymore) from our non-core business team somehow, meaning I won't have the voluntary redundancy option open to me, after all.

Winter. Bleuggh.

But then, you're a born pessimist!

(No, not really)

I suppose for most people that would be a cause for celebration, and for congratulations to him as a really good manager - but in this case - what a pity! Well good luck with job-hunting is all I can say.

Well, yes, exactly. And really, I do take my hat off to him for pulling it off -- but it does mean I'm going to have to have another re-think.

That Jobsworth's an ass.

Though usually, I would agree with that assessment, in this instance, I must say he's not -- there are quite a few people here who are grateful to him for having kept them their jobs.

Thanks for the hugs -- they do make me feel a little better. Speaking of which: how are you feeling?

Well, other than LJ delivering email weeks late, I's OK.
