I've started so I'll finish

enigmaticblues's done this for me, so now it's my turn to do this for you, if you like:

Respond in the comments and

1. I'll respond with something random about you.
2. I'll challenge you to try something.
3. I'll pick a color that I associate with you.
4. I'll tell you something I like about you.
5. I'll tell you my first/clearest memory of you.
6. I'll tell you what animal you remind me of.
7. I'll ask you something I've always wanted to ask you.
8. If I do this for you, you must post this on yours if you haven't already. (No need if you don't want to, actually.)

Randomosity: you know how you said that you liked my posts after travelling, because they offered you a window on another world? It's the same for me with regards to your posts about school and your job in the CA office. I'm so happy to know that while it's hard work, you're enjoying it, too.
Challenge: it's not really a challenge, more of a wish for you: I hope that one day, you'll be able to travel to all of those places you're curious about, and discover the joy of them.
Colour: how could it be anything but blue? An intense blue, like cobalt, but fluctuating and fading into a powder blue at the edges.
Memory: unfortunately, I've never yet had the pleasure of meeting you, and therefore my most immediate memory of you is axctually of your posts that dealt with your bouts of depression. Your candour in expressing yourself struck a chord, because there was so much I recognised from my own experience, but never managed to disclose to my nearest and dearest because I couldn't find the right words.
Love: I admire your honesty, your insight, and your reasoned responses. You always seem to give good advice, always know how to approach a problem from a different angle, shed a new light on things. You challenge me to think about things more, and I appreciate that.
Animal: we've already established that we're crap at thinking up animal doubles for each other. However, if storybook animals are allowed, then I'd imagine you to be uite a bit like the dragon in The Neverending Story.
Question: most girls that I know start off with the small tattoo -- what made you choose such a big, bold design...and why does your bird look like it's crying?

I think that transparency is the only way to live, at least it is for me. That way everyone knows what they're getting into.

Animal: Oh, how did you know? I loved the dragon in The Neverending Story. Loved him.

Tattoo: Heh. Technically, my first tattoo is a small one. I got a Celtic cross on my hip about a year before I got the big one. As for why it's so big, I didn't mean for it to be. But I wanted a phoenix with a celtic design in the wings, and that's what the artist came up with. I went for it without giving myself a chance to think about it too much, otherwise I probably would have backed out. For me, the phoenix represents both who I am, and what I want to do with my life. Phoenix tears, according to the myth, have healing properties. I believe strongly in the healing power of tears, in mourning with others, and in allowing your own grief to show.
