The gates on the Malieveld (a large open space in the centre of town) opened quarter of an hour ago, but it's raining and my sister's not here yet, so I guess we'll have to witness tonight's gig by Dutch rock band Kane from the periphery rather than from right in front of the stage where I normally take up position.

Aw, that sucks! :(

I saw Kane at Rock am Ring festival once - from right in front of the stage, because people were stupid and crowded in front of the main stage while awesome bands were playing the "Talentforum" (aka teensy tiny newcomer stage with better bands than the rest of the festival) /tangent

Doesn't it? And I don't understand it -- my sister's a BIG Kane fan (much bigger than me), yet she left it up to me to get the tickets, and now she can't be shagged to be here on time.

Glad you thought they were worth listening to back at Rock am Ring! Means at least one person who reads this journal has an idea of what I'm on about. ;-)

Bummer. Although, I prefer to be at the periphery...

Normally, I wouldn't mind so much, but here it meant Dutch rockband -> Dutch audience -> tall Dutch people obstructing my view.

Still, the music was great, though. ;-)
