Not very well, thank you

I'm sick of being sick. For the last three days, even though the sun has been shining, I've been cooped up indoors, shivering and shaking under my duvet, and subjected to one sneezing fit after another. I'm aching all over and I lack the energy to drag myself out of bed, but I'd better get over this wretched cold sharpish because Mum's taking the train to Berlin tonight to go on a well-deserved holiday. This leaves me on my own to care for my dad for the next two weeks; but it's alright - as far as I'm aware I only need to take him to two or three doctor's appointments in that time, go to the bank a couple of times and of course, make sure he's well-stocked on groceries. Problem is that I know someone who isn't going to be happy about my having to take time off work to do all this, and he's not going to let me take Special or Care Leave for it, but will insist on me taking up the time as holiday. Some holiday. Still, what am I moaning about - I have weeks of accrued holiday left this year! Wasting two or three days of it running around after Dad isn't going to make that much of a difference, really.

I missed House again yesterday, which means that out of a total of four episodes having been shown in what I have decided is going to be my latest fandom, I have now missed two. This does not bode well for the future.

I see the LJ Interest Meme is doing the rounds again on my flist, affording me the opportunity I've been waiting for to put up my version of it, done some weeks ago:

I'm mystified as to why Alan Rickman is showing off his underpants in that one picture; but apart from that, the whole thing's pretty harmless, I would say. I really need to get some kink in there some day.
