Bloody MySpace!

I spent all night trying to come up with a layout, and I finally thought I was there. It wasn't anything special, it certainly wasn't anything spectacular; in fact, it was only slightly less crappy than the MySpace default, but I thought it might do, and so I went to upload it. It looked fine on the preview, but when I hit the Save All Changes-button...NOTHING HAPPENED. Seriously.

I did everything right (inasmuch as I did everything as per instructions), and yet my MySpace tonight remains as boring as ever. It's enough to drive a girl to drink, or failing that, to bed.

PS. What's this? Has anyone else noticed LJ's renamed the Edit Journal-page to Edit Captain's Log? It's not that I mind, exactly, it's just that...what on earth for?

LOL, G - so now you've heard about International Talk Like a Pirate Day, which Eric told me about over the weekend. I know, quite the ridiculous idea, but it was funny seeing it show up all over LJ and at the boards I frequent.....

Hope you're well - good luck with MySpace. I haven't tried doing a lot with mine, as far as the layout. I just keep my music calendar updated.

When I logged on this morning, the lay-out was there more or less as I'd devised it, although I'm not happy with the font (seems to have become squished), so it probably just needed a refresh on the server or some such. The font-thing is irritating, but I can't be arsed to tinker with it now so I'll leave it to sort out another day.

I don't like MySpace. I only have one because everyone I know has one too, and to quietly support 'my' artists by boosting their friends figures by 1...but really, I don't see much use in it.

'International' Talk Like A Pirate Day turned out to be mainly a US thing -- they've got their work cut out for them if they want to make it a truly international event next year.
