My boy is ill. He woke me up at 4 a.m., poor baby, and he's been sick at regular intervals ever since. At the moment, he's curled up on the bed trying to get some sleep, and I'm hoping he'll get some. Cat sick is a bitch to get out of carpets, and why won't cats throw up anywhere else, on the nice bit of lino in the kitchen, e.g.?

The first Christmas card came in the post today, making me smile...because it came from an LJ friend.

Yesterday, I spent three hours in the salon, only to walk out with a do very similar to the one I came in with. The only difference is that my fringe, forelocks and sideburns are now a disconcertingly bright red. Next time, I'll tell them to cut me a bob and be done with it.

I'm so sorry about your kitty being sick. Yes, why will they not vomit on something more easily cleaned than carpet.

Oh! Your icon. *cries*

Hehe. I'm guessing that's how Manasse feels right now...but seriously, if he's still vomiting tomorrow, I'll take him to the vets. His eyes are clear and he is't running a temperature, but I'm watching him very closely.

Thanks. He's still a bit poorly, but he hasn't brought up anything in 4 hours now, so he should be on the mend.

Hope he'll keep all his food down from now on...I don't have a cat, but a dog and it's so stressful and frightening when they're sick, aye?

Especially cause they can't tell us what's wrong. Hope you two will have a good night's sleep tonight :)

I can't remember how it is with dogs, but cats have very distinct and personal distress calls. Manasse hardly ever uses his, but when he does, I go into instant panic/protection mode. He's made me spring into action 8 times today -- I'm bloody exhausted!

Yes, when my kitties were alive, if one got sick, I could shut them in the kitchen with all the tile/lino and they'd make sure to go over to the one small area rug and hack up over that.

It's some kind of bizarre feline biological drive. They'd even seem to hold it in until they found carpet.

I hope Manasse feels better soon!

Thank you. He seems to be settling down now, and isn't throwing up anymore -- but then, he's not tried to eat anything since this morning.

The carpet thing, though....it's a mystery! ;-)

Oh poor kitty! And you are so right about them always picking a really silly place to puke - more than once I have had to grab Shaka and run to the back door with him as he started to heave whilst sitting on the router....

Oh, that Shaka! He's such a character, really, he is!

Poor kitty. I hate it when animals are sick, because they can't tell you what's wrong.

Me, too. I always feel terribly guilty if I can't work out what's wrong from what little clues they care to give me.
