There but for the grace of God

Manasse continued to be sick throughout the night. Then he finally hacked up the thing that had been bothering him so: a small button. I don't know where he got it from, but he's fine now and I'm so relieved; this story could so easily have had a worse ending.

Not half. But I'm going to have to be extra careful and take out the hoover a lot more often from now now on.

I just hope it isn't the all important button missing from your best top. :D

Oh I am glad that this is how you've found out the cause, because he should be fine now, shouldn't he? But don't you wonder how he managed to swallow it in the first place?

This morning, he does seem to be right as rain, so all's well that ends well, I suppose. But I do wonder where he got that button (it must have been lying in some corner where I forgot to hoover or something) and what made him swallow it...probably an accident of play, is all I can think of.

Thank God he's alright now, though -- I never would have forgiven myself if he hadn't managed to rid himself of the offending object. Cats! They get into all kinds of scrapes, don't they?

What a silly kitty.
I'm glad he is going to be okay. We have had to stop putting tinsel on the x-mas tree. Dennis is obsessed with eating it.

I've had to stop bringing in a Christmas tree. My cats were obsessed with wrecking it. ;-)

My cats are magpies. They go for anything bright and shiny, and this one was particularly silvery...Manasse, the Mad Magpie Moggie.

The poor pookie! I'm glad he's feeling better. Silly Manasse, don't worry your mommy like that!

Hee. I'm getting my own back though; he's getting picked up and cuddled a lot today -- and he's at that awkward age where he's embarrassed by such overt affectionate displays. ;-)

He's fine now. Hasn't learnt from his mistakes though, as just now I caught him playing with a plastic carrier bag that he couldn't find his way out of...

Poor boy...but I'm very glad to hear that he's better, now that the little bastard of a button is out of the way :)

Manasse is a beautiful name btw...

I'm thankful that he's alright now, too. Luckily,he doesn't seem to have suffered any adverse effects.

Manasse is a beautiful name btw...

Thank you! He wears it with pride, I must say ;-)

Cyber-cuddles are the kind Manasse most appreciates (he's such an adolescent), so thanks for those!
