Pah!

I saw the orthopaedic surgeon today. After the examination, he declared himself unwilling to wade in with the knife, and has sent me off to have 2 months of physiotherapy in order to build the muscle strength in my lower leg and ankle back up. And by the way, although undeniably stronger, my other ankle appears to be as instable as the the one I came to see him about.

I also, finally, got around to watching the first episode in S3 Doctor Who. Rhinos in space!...yet they still buy their boots at Camden Market.

I am just glad tothink that your ankles held up for all that dashing around the states!

I do hope that someone can sort them out properly for you.

Interestingly, it didn't give me much trouble while I was over there....Okay, I couldn't run up the Rocky steps in Philly like Jules and Lisa could, and I couldn't stay in heels for a night on the town, but I guess was just to busy to notice it much during the day. I should be on holiday like that more often!

Ach! Still with the leg and ankle! This shouldn't happen to a dog, let alone a shoe lover.

Hopefully in two months' time, he will come up with a better plan.

Geez, I can't believe it! Why won't he operate? I had mountains of physio, but the instability in the ankle was causing pain within the joint as well as the constant sprains, and that did improve after the surgery.

And my surgeon also declared my other ankle almost as bad and wanted to operate on that one as well. Haha. You and I could be sisters. :)

You could have knocked me over with a feather when he wrote me out the referral. I've had 2 years of physio, with no noticeable result. And it's the same with my ankle: it's still deeply painful within the joint, and I'm spraining it almost every day.

I think he just didn't believe me. :(

blimey that's a disappointment. I think you should go and dash around another "tour" some more soon ... better than physio

Heehee I finally watched that too - SUBTLE the way the design team got away with only having to make the one Rhino head ;)

No! You mean to say there weren't any other rhino heads beneath those masks? I'm shocked!

But will two months of physio really make it better?

No, it won't. Which is why I'mb deeply sceptical...and deeply disappointed. I've had physio for 2 years -- what's he think another round is going to do?

Bummer. It's too bad that you couldn't get a quicker fix.

It's not so bad. 2 Months...I can wait 2 months if I have to. Wish I didn't have to, though.

You need to come to Australia and see MY doc. He would have operated on me the next day if I'd let him. 8-O

Did you point out to him that you'd already done 2 years of physio and it hadn't really helped? I find this really frustrating, so I can imagine how much worse you must feel.

Of course I did. Like I said, I don't think he believed me. :(
