Reason the first:

Remember when I said I'd lost all interest in Doctor Who (I think it was right after that episode in which a mad scientist thought he'd rejuvenated himself but in actual fact had turned himself into a giant man-eating scorpion)? I take it all back. The last few episodes have been good viewing, and yesterday's was excellent, even.

Though you can't go far wrong with Sir Derek in the cast, I suppose. Or John Simm. Or...Captain Jack ;-) SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Reason the second:

David Berkeley has confirmed that he will be back to tour the UK in the Sept/Oct timeframe. That means, so will I. ;-)

Reason the third but certainly not last:

(and I've known this for a while; but the release date - Aug 17th- of their new album, their third, and their first in six years, is now fast approaching)

Kula Shaker are back!

And if anyone knows how I can Add a Video To My Profile and have it actually show up on MySpace, I'd be immensely grateful -- until then, I'll just have to post it here:

...

Oh forget it, it's bloody not working here either!

ETA: now it is!

and again
SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

A video from youtube? Just copy paste the "embed" code into whatever section in your profile you want it to show up in.

Or on LJ the same in the "embed media" box .. that isn't working?? Mine is.

hmm

I was actually talking about a video from MySpace -- when you view an artist video, it gives you the option to Add This Video To My Profile. You click on it and it says "This video will be added to your profile" then nothing shows up there!

Never mind, I thought, I'll find that vid on YouTube and add it to my LJ in the usual time-honoured way of clicking "Post This Video" after which the message 'This video will appear on your blog very soon' comes up. Usually, that's instantaneous...but last night and again this morning, it didn't show despite me receiving the confirmation message every time. So something's wrong.

I've never embedded anything in my life. Perhaps it's time I learn.

April? I thought it was end of March...anyway, it was a long time ago, and I was thinking of the last time we saw them, at Wireless.

If you'll remember, it took months and countless e-mails for my CD to come through the post? I hada closer look at it the other day -- and they've only gone and sent me 'DM live at the Werchter Festival'!

Sorry you're right, March it was :D And wireless is coming up soon, pity they're not playing again, that was ace!

Really...WHERE?

Werchter. Belgium.

And for almost a year, I've been going 'I don't remember hearing that...or that' whenever I put the CD on, but I had to wait until I ripped it before seeing that the files actually read 'Werchter Festival'. ;-)

Well when you go to the video, it should have a load of links you can copy and paste down the right hand side I think one of them is to embed.

Wait... how could you be turned off by a scientist turning into a GIANT MAN-EATING SCORPION? I mean... COOOL!!!!! (and, no, I haven't seen that - *G*)

Hearing good things about that episode. Although since I'll probably wait to see it when it actually airs here, it'll be years before I see it... *G*

Wait... how could you be turned off by a scientist turning into a GIANT MAN-EATING SCORPION?

Easily, if you take into account the amount of gurning such a scenario may lead to. ;-)

Though I still think the Daleks in Manhattan-story was the worst of this series. Those phoney New York accents were just too much!
