Weighty matters

Ten minutes ago, I was elated: by finally deigning to use one of those infernal treadmills at my physiotherapist's, and noticing that it displayed weight, heart rate and time in flickering red LEDs, I found out I currently weigh in at 75 kg exactly. 75 kilos*! That means that over the summer, I've lost 15!

That was before I logged on to the web and calculated that my BMI is 26, which means that I'm still overweight. Apparently, there's another 15 to come off before I reach the ideal weight for my height. :(

* 75 kg= 165.3466966387 lb; 15 kg = 33.0693393277 lb

hmm...I guess there is macaroni & cheese and some vegetable lasagnas, but they are more like eating cardboard than real food...I usually go with something quick to fix, like angle hair pasta with a quick tomato sauce, or with steamed veggies.

I love pasta. It's one of the foodstuffs I miss the most...that, and chocolate. Maybe, if I drop another couple of kilos, I can let myself have some.

[smile] With the whole not eating meat thing, I can't do any diets that make me give up starches too...I have to have something to live on...chocolte, on the other hand, has never been a temptation for me. (Apparently it is a family thing as neither of my grandfathers liked it either.)

Whereas I, unfortunately, seem to have been hooked on the stuff since I was in the womb. Mum ate lots of it when she was pregnant with me -- not so much since then. ;-)

There is a particular candybar that my mom ate everyday when pregnant with my sister, and my sister has cravings for them every so often.
