Bye-bye Bolly Knickers!

The last episode in the first series of Ashes to Ashes aired last night, and it was a good one. I'd thought perhaps Evan would turn out to be the bad guy, but it was someone I'd never even considered. I can't wait to see what happens next season -- I grew to like DCI Gene Hunt in Life on Mars, but I came to adore him in this new series. Now what will I do on a Thursday evening?

The pilot episode for The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency impressed me enormously, and again, I can't wait for next year to see more.

The trailers for the new Doctor Who have persuaded me that this next series may be worth watching again. I'm certainly going to give it a chance.

Actually, I suspected that the bad guy did it pretty early on, what with the white-faced clues all over the place. But I pick up on eyes fairly easily. I didn't think it'd make sense if Evan was the bad guy -- too obvious a red herring and also, he didn't strike me as having the heart for it, especially not as he was played.

Of course, now I'd like more backstory on the Prices. Also, while I'm quite fond of the Gene Genie and Ray and Chris, I'm not sure it'd work without an outside force such as Sam or Alex. And, what's going to happen next?! I love the whole mind-trip part. :-D

I just haven't been able to get into any Doctor Who. There have been aspects I've enjoyed, but as a whole, no.

I wasn't all that interested in finding out who blew up the Prices, and why; mainly because I knew Alex wouldn't be able to stop it and secondly because I knew that even if she did find out, it wouldn't take her back to her own time and Molly (the news that a second series had been commisioned had already been leaked). What compelled me to watch was the banter and bickering going on between Alex and the Gene Genie, between the Gene Genie and the rest of his team, and the Gene Genie himself. Also, at the end of this series, I <3 Raymondo; which is funny as I never really liked him much in LoM.
