I am such a dipstick!

The electrician has just left, doubled over in mirth. Turns out all the electrical failures I'd been experiencing in the home in the last month were due to the fact that I'd inadvertently flipped a switch I shouldn't have, and it took him exactly 0.06 seconds to find the problem and correct it.

Oh well.

I've booked my tickets to fly to London at the beginning of next month, but I can only make it to David's Thursday and Friday gigs in the capital, which is a bit of a bummer but better than no gigs at all. After that, there'll be a tediously long summer of all work and no play so as I can actually afford my trip to New York in October. Let's hope the dollar won't miraculously recover before that time.

I haven't seen the bill yet, but of course there was a call-out charge, and I doubt they'll waive it....Perhaps next time, I'll consult a DIY manual before the Yellow Pages.

I'm flying in on Thursday, and out again on Sunday morning. And that reminds me, I need to book me a hotel room too...Southwark would be good for The Glad, but where's The Constitution again?

And what are your plans for those 2 weeks? Are you going to go to every show, or are you going to pick and choose like me?

The Constitution ..91 Bell Street - closest tube Marylebone

Nope - just in and out for the London ones. Although thinking of staying over Friday night somewhere - still to be worked out financially! And Lorna should be coming to that one .. so will liaise!

Lorna's coming? That's wonderful news! Don't get me wrong; it's not that I'm not thrilled at the thought of squeeing with you again, because I am; it's just that I haven't seen Lorna since we got caught in that awful weather in Coventry last year, prior to the Leamington Spa gig and the all night trek up to Scotland...good times.

Marylebone, eh? Remember that gig in the curry house (as if you could ever have forgotten!) -- I was staying in a small family run hotel much like the Meridiana a few blocks away. We could see about staying there...it was called the Wyndham, IIRC.

Ai! Looks like they're full up...but I'm sure there's plenty of other places to try in that area.
