Now I can sit down before I fall

I passed a furniture shop while on my way to pick Romeo up from school yesterday. It had a complete clearance sale; everything had to go because the business had failed. I walked on, but...

...I'm one of those kinds of women who, when they're anxious, or stressed, or both, will buy things. Big things, usually. Throwing money at anxiety will not make the feeling disappear, but it will take my mind off it for a while. Sometimes, I will resist the urge, other times I won't. Yesterday was one of the latter times. I turned back and 2 minutes later, had bought a sofa.

A white leather 3-seater, sold to me for less than half its normal retail price

There goes my first advance on my severance pay :(

But I think it's worth it

And it looks like Manasse has already given it his seal of approval

It looks a bit different from the one I was going to buy and saving up for, but at bargain price and with instant delivery thrown in, I just couldn't resist.

That's one way of looking at it -- thanks!

I think the sofa is beautiful. You can do so much to off set the
white. It looks comfy too. I love the cushions too.
I am the same way buying things when stressed it feels so good.
Enjoy it in excellent health.

Oh, it is! Because the armrests are relatively low, I can lie down on it and stretch out to my full length (something I couldn't do on my old sofa)...but the wonderful thing about it is that the curvature of the backrest, when I lean against it, supports my lower back and forces me to sit up straight. It's easier to get up from, too. All in all, I daresay it'll be much better for my sciatica.

I meant to ask: has the bathroom been finished now, and have you come to a decision whether or not to have the whole apartment done?

Re: Now I can sit down before I fall
Yes the bathroom is finished. Also had the kitchen painted and had
the tile back splash behind sink and stove done too. That is it
for a while.
I am going to go to Florida on 7/10/08 providing that everything is
okay after dr's visit 7/9/08. Will stay for 3 weeks if all goes
well. Driving down again with my granddaughter, her girlfriend and
our puppy.

Re: Now I can sit down before I fall
Thank you.

I hope the weather continues to be as rain free as it is now.
We will be celebrating my granddaughter's 18th birthday this
Sunday, if weather is okay I think my sister plans on a BBQ
outside on her deck, unless Ame (granddaughter) has to work.
She has a part-time job and usually works from 8am-4pm or 4pm
to 8 pm guess she will find out for sure tomorrow when she goes
in to work.
