Fingers crossed!

I may have felt uninspired when I wrote my first application letter and sent it off a week ago, but I got a call on the strength of it first thing this morning, and I've got an interview secured for Monday morning!

It's with a bank, a proper high street one this time, which was recently voted Best Employer in The Netherlands, and is one of the few that hasn't been affected by the toxic mortgages scandal of 2008. As a result, they're also one of the few that are still hiring. Moreover, I've applied to a branch in one of The Hague's satellite towns, so the commute shouldn't take more than half an hour (if that).

Forget about all the chores I had lined up for this weekend - I'll be brushing up on my interview skills.
