30 Day Movie Meme: Day 04

Day 04 - Movie that makes you laugh every time:

This mockumentary has tickled my funny bone for 20 years or more, and I imagine it will continue to do so until I croak. The situations it purports to document for the discerning hard rock audience seem to look and feel so real, that the first time I saw it I wondered if I hadn't somehow missed the emergence of a band called Spinal Tap...until they went on stage and started to sing their ludicrous songs. I don't think I've ever seen a more brilliant satire than this.

And that's just one of the outrageous things they come out with! Most of the dialogue in the film is ad libbed as well, which makes it even funnier.

There's also this scene I love where the band get lost in the backstage area of the venue, trying to find their way on stage. It has me in stitches every time.

Hee! Have you watched it on DVD with their commentary track? It's like having a second Spinal Tap movie to watch, so funny.

Both Spinal Tap and Eddie Izzard will taint my view of Stonehenge when I see it. But it's a good, funny taint! :D

It was the first DVD I obtained, and to date, I think it's the one I've watched most often. I just never get bored with it.
