The proposed working hours are another stumbling block: the position is for evenings and weekends exclusively. I don't mind weekends, but evenings? In another town, with me dependent on public transport? Excuse me if I'm not overly enthusiastic.
But my overriding worry at the moment is: how to present a professional image of myself if I don't have the first practical idea of what it means to lead a team of call centre agents? They must be desperate to find somebody (probably due to those weird working hours) if they invite me in for a chat. I presume they've read my cv...
While I'm waiting for the maintenance man to get my central heating ready for winter, I'll list my choice for 'movie that disappointed me' in the 30 Day Movie Meme:
I love Saturday Night Fever; I think it's a great film. So when I heard that John Travolta would reprise his role as Tony Manero in a sequel, I couldn't wait to see it...and was disappointed when it turned out the film didn't have the narrative quality of its predecessor; and Tony Manero, although he had left Brooklyn, still behaved like an immature berk.

ETA: Willem, the engineer, has managed to find and fix whatever was wrong with the heating system; though he has warned me that next time it fails, he won't be able to do any more repairs as the parts needed are no longer available.
