Well...according to the information I'd been given, the art foundation whose project manager I met with this morning were looking for a volunteer to help around the office with light administrative tasks. Not so. They're actually looking for someone to help them export their programme into the surrounding countries: Belgium, Germany and the UK. And if I understand correctly, they've just asked me to do something of a feasibility study and lay the groundwork for this. Unhindered by any direct knowledge of whatever it is that may be involved in the endeavour, I said I would love to.

I start on Monday.

As for the 30 Day Movie Meme, its 18th entry is dedicated to naming my favourite title sequence. I had to think about this one, as I don't usually pay much attention to them -- after all, it's the film I want to see, and mostly I already know who's in it. But then I did remember that as a child, I did like the animation that preceded The Pink Panther fully as much as its soundtrack:

Day 19 - Best movie cast
Day 20 - Favorite kiss
Day 21 - Favorite romantic couple
Day 22 - Favorite final scene/line
Day 23 - Best explosion or action scene
Day 24 - Quote you use most often
Day 25 - A movie you plan on watching (old or new)
Day 26 - Freakishly weird movie ending
Day 27 - Best villain
Day 28 - Most overhyped movie
Day 29 - Movie you have watched more than ten times
Day 30 - Saddest death scene
Day 31 - Scene that made you stand up and cheer

That sounds like pretty damn cool volunteer work.

It does, doesn't it?

I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed I won't get offered any paid employment in the next few days/weeks/months, because having taken it on, I would hate to have to quit this.

That sounds very challenging, but like a lot of fun, too!

My feeling, exactly. I've already contacted a few of my friends in the art world to see if I can pick their brains and contacts if need be ;-)

What a fabulous gig! It will lead to THINGS. Just you wait and see.

It's a challenge, but one I'm eager to take on. I'm already reluctant to take an a fulltime paid position if I should get offered one; because this? who knows what it might lead to?

Hopefully...although I did get the impression they want to try setting up a pilot in Germany (Frankfurt) first. I'll be pushing for London...but I may have to make it another just-for-fun visit if I can't convince them!

If only the boys would come back...

Sounds great. It's a shame it doesn't pay.

That's the only drawback...but at least it will keep me occupied and sane, and will look great on my cv, while I continue looking for a real job.
