Christmas? Already??

The trees have gone up, the catering, venue, and entertainment confirmed; all's set for our annual Christmas office party..and only now do I realise that I've not made any arrangements for my own Christmas celebrations. I haven't done the shopping, I haven't gotten the cards, and I think of those that have come through my letterbox already as incredibly early...why do I still have this idea that I've got bags of time left?

Seems I just can't get my head 'round Christmas this year...

Xmas wouldn't be Xmas without a mad dash.

Whereas I'm practically done, all the food, presents the lot! Just up with the decs (if we can be bothered) and a trip to the butchers.

This is some kind of miracle.

Have I ever mentioned I hate people who are perfect? ;-)

Oh, I'm definitely far from perfect!

Well, I am impressed by Bogwitch's situation! Good for you!

Not to worry, G - you'll get done what you need to, in time. I myself spent the afternoon shopping - finished Eric's shopping, stuff for my mom, some friends... Some yet to do for my nieces and nephew, my sisters and their husbands, and those damn cards! We're doing cookies this weekend, as part of our annual cookies and caroling we do here in my condo complex.

Well, at least I've written the cards. Still have to find the time to get to the post office and get some stamps...and because I left it so late, there weren't very many cards to choose from anymore so they're all singularly ugly this year, but hey!...it's the thought that counts, innit?

I can never get my head around Christmas, but this year is the worst so far. I mean, we're just gonna forget the whole thing and then have a little freakout the day before the big family dinner and dig around for some unused candles for presents, or something. We don't really "do" Christmas at all, but normally there are at least a few gifts ... this year, we are too busy and unsettled. Really, I will be so happy when it's all over.

Oh me too! For some reason, I don't really feel like X-mas much this year.
