The same applies to historical figures, such as Leonardo da Vinci, who I've admired for his diverse talents from an early age (I think I was about 8 when I first came across some (facsimilies of) his drawings, and was captivated by their detail). In my youthful enthusiasm, I may have wanted to learn as much as I could about as many different subjects in pale imitation of his example, but I've had to acknowledge quite early on that I don't have it in me to be a genius in any one field, let alone sciences and the arts.
