Keep An Open Gallery

A full two months after Keep An Open Gallery, Common Rotation's latest cd, became available on iTunes, I finally received my 'first-run' copy. At first, I was so excited that I didn't look too closely at it. It was only after anonypooh reminded me to examine the sleeve, that my initial joy turned into a more muted feeling.

When, at the beginning of this year, the request came to help CoRo fund their new album(s), I didn't hesitate. I donated a certain amount, which would entitle me to an autographed copy and my name in the thankyou notes of the next two albums. Neither of these promises have been kept. I'm sure it's just an oversight, but still...

The album, BTW, is brilliant and easily my favourite. And even without the credit, I'm still happy to have been one of its sponsors.

Oh great. Mine's supposed to be on its way too.
I think they owe us an apology for not keeping their promises, first about the cover notes (because I'm sure you are not the only fan left off, I'm sure I will be too), and then about getting advance copies. I mean, the itunes thing really shat me.

I'm not sure my devotion to them can survive this level of neglect. :(

At the risk of spoiling you: your name IS in the thankyou list!

Although I've since come to question whether I've not made a mistake (I threw away my credit card statement so now I can't be sure of the amount I donated), I agree with you that the way they handled this whole thing was less than elegant.

I has a thankyou?! Well at least that's something. I'm still upset about the way they've treated me/us though.
