Four more years

As the BBC had kept reporting how much of a close-run race this American presidential election was going to be in the days leading up to it, it was kind of reassuring to wake up to the news this morning and find out that the world hadn't changed that much, after all. I only hope that Obama will get a chance to make good on his promise that the best is yet to come, though I fear the Republican majority in the House of Representatives will continue their policy of obstructionism and point-scoring for a while yet.

Amen!

Hopefully the Republican majority will see the light and understand that both Republicans and Democrats are tired of the obstructionism and want results. I've never been this nervous over a presidential election before, and feel like now I can breathe and relax.

Pleased that Obama won a majority of the popular vote as well as the electoral vote, so no one can say he doesn't have a majority of the people with him.

So happy! :-D
