Hi there,

I can indeed confirm that your tickets are booked, and we should have them out to you in the next 3 weeks.

Look forward to seeing you at Collectormania.

All the best

CoRo, here I come! Now all I need, is to book a flight...what airport is handiest for Milton Keynes?

Luton. I think it's called London (Luton) nowadays. All the budget airlines fly in there. Look for Easyjet, Ryanair, Go, and Buzz.

Is this a separate trip you're planning? Bogwitch and I both live quite close to Luton Airport.

Really? I always fly to Luton (except for this Saturday when I'll be diverting to Gatwick), because most of my London friends live in the Edgware/Hendon/Mill Hill area! So, it would seem that unbeknowst to either of us, I've already been coming to your neck of the woods for years - fancy that!

Is this a separate trip you're planning?

Yes, it is. And I wouldn't call it a trip: it's just so as I can go see Common Rotation play in Milton Keynes on the Saturday. I've become a massive fan since hearing them for the first time at MR04 last June, and am absolutely thrilled that they're coming to Europe. Although for now it looks like this will be their only concert in the UK this year, both Eric and Adam have indicated that they would like to make it a minitour; and when that happens, I'll probably take some more time off -- but at the moment, it's just that weekend I have planned.

WOO HOO!!! See you in October! We'll have to arrange where we're going to meet and stuff. I'm going to be coming down by train on the Saturday
Aug. 17th, 2004 11:40 pm (UTC)
We'll think of somewhere -- if you're going to come by train, perhaps we can meet you at the station? I think that would be easiest. York...that's quite a way to come by rail...but we've got plenty of time that Saturday. The doors don't open until 7:00 pm and the party is scheduled to end around 1 am; I don't expect CoRo to go onstage until sometime between 9 and 11 pm.

They said they'd get the tickets out to me within the next 3 weeks, so -- it looks like we really will be seeing each other in October! Squee!

WOO HOO! Do you have plans to stay in a hotel after the party then? We'll nee to sort something out

Do you have plans to stay in a hotel

Actually, I haven't really thought about all that yet, let alone sorted something out. I heard on the grapevine though, that the hotel closest to the venue is already booked solid, but there might still be accommodation available at the Holiday Inn...or there might not. I plan on delving into this problem next week, when I'm in England -- it'll be easier to get things sorted when I'm there, I think. Also, need to consult with calove as to what her plans/ideas are...

Cool, well if there's anything you need me to do then let me know. It will kind of suck if we have to sleep on the streets :-S

Oh no, that won't happen! If all else fails, I'm sure we can always sleep on the bus. And by bus, I mean the van...and by van, I mean Jordan's car...

(CoRo joke -- don't mind me, I'm just so excited!)

Can you tell me exactly what the event consists of? I thought it was just a gig. Didn't realise there was a party and stuff too

Can you tell me exactly what the event consists of? I thought it was just a gig.

Actually, no: it's not just a CoRo gig. Adam Busch and the rest of the Trio are contracted to appear at the Collectormania convention that weekend; you can read all about it <a href="http://www.collectormania.com/specialevents.html>here</a>. It would seem that Eric's decided to come along at the last minute (don't know whether Jordan will be there as well), and the deal that they'd be playing at the party for the event wasn't hammered out until as recently as last week. Now the party itself promises to be quite huge: there are 1000 tickets for the event - prepare for push-a-rama if any of the guests venture from the VIP room; which I am guessing the Trio and Eric will certainly do! Whether Data, Princess Leia, or any LotR characters will, I don't know (nor do I particularly care, if truth be told). So, in terms of entourage, I would agree that it's not ideal (personally, I would much rather see CoRo in a more intimate setting such as a small club or a living room concert), but I'll take what I can get and I'm sure it'll be fun even if it is quite crowded!

I'm getting to like this Mark from Showmasters! He's left me a message on their bulletin board:

I just want to say that the guests at the party WILL be mingling in the main party, and not just the VIP area, so please don't think that you won't get to hang out with them if you don't have a VIP ticket, cause you will!!!!!!!

Mark :)

Now, isn't that good news?

Spunds quite scary. I've never been to an event this big before. Still, if we can get near the trio and maybe even have a photo then that would be cool

Sounds quite scary

Oh, don't worry: Danny, Tom and Adam are all quite sweet and I'm sure they wouldn't mind posing for a picture with you if you ask. Of course, you would have to get near 'em first...

It's more the number of people that I'm worried about. Big crowds freak me out, especially when they're all surging forward to meet a celeb. I think the biggest con/event I've been to so far had 600 people
