Blatant steal

You write angst, angst, and more angst. For you, a
story isn't a story unless someone gets
molested/tortured/humiliated/abused. That's
okay, though; nobody writes angst better than
you! Not only that, but your plotlines, however
dark, are quite often very original. Those who
can stomach what you dish out will gladly
attest to your greatness and brilliance. Some
might even call you a god! A rather cruel god,
but a god nonetheless. Your writing is probably
hauntingly beautiful, and someone who's read
your stuff will never forget it.

What Kind of Fanfiction Writer Are You?
brought to you by Quizilla

I nicked this from klytaimnestra's lj -- I decided to bring it over to my own to answer two questions I had:

1) how do I upload images to my lj
2) what kind of fic would I write if I ever acquired the intelligence and imagination necessary to such an endeavour

...but I don't think I will. At least, I'm not planning on trying my hand at it any time soon; even if diva_stardust and julchek have recently shown me how wonderfully rewarding it could be. There's so much good, truly good fanfic out there, I'm quite happy to stay curled up on my couch and try and read as much of it as I possibly can. The more I read, the greedier I get; and there's not a lot of spare time I can devote to anything else these days - as some of my friends have had to find out. Thank God for Wimbledon! There'll be nothing on the telly for a few weeks, and if I can put my social life on a the backburner for a while, I may be able to catch up with the rest of you.

I definitely think you should try to write something! If you change your mind and end up writing a fic, I want to be the first one to read it!
Jun. 26th, 2003 02:21 am (UTC)
I'll think about it, OK? That's all I'm saying!

God! But you've been busy these last couple of weeks, haven't you? It'll take me ages to catch up...
Jun. 26th, 2003 02:33 am (UTC)
Yes, think about it!:D

Yeah, it's been an interesting time! I've somehow managed to write a Spawn story that has people who were repulsed at the idea of Spawn before, actually liking it! Whee!

My next plan? World domination!

Re: Spuffy, Spawn...Spoyce?
Just read my very first NC-17 Spoyce fic last night...and surprise surprise, I didn't hate it!

Actually, I thought it was quite refreshing. After all, one can only read about so many cups of hot chocolate and marshmallows, and then it gets quite old...

The story I read? Miss Murchison's One Glorious Morning Have I Seen ...I think that was the title. Something Shakespearean, at least.

Re: Spuffy, Spawn...Spoyce?
OK, it's called 'A Glorious Morning Have I Seen'...wasn't too far off, was I?

I think Quizilla's trying to tell me something!
You are a total Spuffy Shipper and need to contact
me imediatly so we can hook up and do some fan
fic stuff!

Are You A Spuffy Shipper? (Keywords: Buffy and Spike)
brought to you by Quizilla

Again, with the fic ref! Seems I can't escape it. Better go through the Yellow Pages and enroll in a creative writing class...

Re: I think Quizilla's trying to tell me something!
Try it! It's fun! Go on! I bet you'd be fantastic at it.

Seems I'm a Spuffy shipper too. Lies, all of it. I love only Spike (Buffy can go...well, whatever). But I got Angst in the fanfic quiz. I don't write Angst! You've seen my stuff - I ask you, is it angsty? OK. I'll allow a little. Hmm. Must concentrate on my non-angsty Spike-centric fic.

Re: I think Quizilla's trying to tell me something!
Well, I don't know about fantastic, but I do know that I may have to put pen to paper soon. There's this scenario -not a full-blown plot yet- won't leave me alone...

And no dear, your fic isn't angsty (much) - it's lovely (much much). And I'm not just saying that! The finished fics you've let me read are well thought out, well-written, consistent and coherent stories couched in language that's both dream-like and precise. They're neither too long nor too short, and they're completely believable. They're in character; they have that BtVS-feel about them. Plus, bonus points for attention to spelling and grammar!

Now, if you're serious about wanting to start up your own lj -and I think you should!-, I'll send you the code through private e-mail.

Re: I think Quizilla's trying to tell me something!
Oh, please do write your fic. I think I know your style well enough to say it will be well worth the reading. Go on - we need more intelligent stuff out here.

And thanks for the encouragement about my efforts (blushing here). It really is fun, but time consuming and obsessing!. I have a couple of longer, rambling series - one of which is pretty much complete. If you're interested, I'll mail it to you.

And then I will start up an LJ and start posting - so, yes please, do send me a code!

And, oh, isn't it great to be back at work? (mutter, grumble)

Re: I think Quizilla's trying to tell me something!
If you're interested

Need you ask? Of course I am, so send away!

My e-mail server's down at the moment, and I'm having all kinds of weird problems there anyway, but I just about (think) managed to send your code to your home e-mail addy. Have a look to see if it's there!

Re: I think Quizilla's trying to tell me something!
Well, I am with you both on this one - so totally a Spuffy shipper, it's not even funny.

Hey Cass, send me the pieces as well! I wanna see them too. Or post them in your new LJ, once you get it up and running.

But I'm not! I swear I'm not! If anything, I'm an anyone-that-Spike-wants shipper, whether that be Drusilla, Buffy, or the Three-Legged Wonderbeast from the planet Krahsmagluk. I just want Spike to be happy.
